Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee is presenting the railbudget2011 in Lok Sabha. Mamata Banerjee has made a number of proposals in her third railbudget2011.
Mamata began her speech on a melodramatic note by Calling the railbudget2011 the common man’s budget.
She also said that 85 proposals under PPP scheme are in consideration.
A list of proposals of railbudget2011 made by Mamata Banerjee is given below:
- Construction of 10,000 shelters for people staying next to lines in railbudget2011
- First coach from the new rail factory at Rae Bareli to roll out in next three months
- Two wagon units with private partners in railbudget2011
- Track machine unit in West Bengal
- Construct 700 km rail track each year
- 700 megawatt gas based power plant in Maharashtra
- Rail industrial park in Nandigram
- Railway software unit in Darjeeling in railbudget2011
- Diesel locomotive works in Manipur
- One metro coach factory in Singur
- A bridge factory in Jammu and Kashmir
- Two new passenger terminals in Kerala
- Provide 12000 acres to east-west freight corridor
- Launch of Pradhan Mantri Rail Vikas Yojna
- After aquiring land in Orissa work on wagon factory as railbudget2011
- Do away with all unmanned railway crossings by next year
- Anti collision devices have been deployed in 8 zones
- Spend Rs 9583 crore on new lines in FY 12
